Building relationships with bloggers. Stephanie Strazinsky writes for LIST My Social Media.

Relationships will define how every business transacts in future, according to experts. For a blogging business especially, keeping a close relationship with fellow bloggers will prove instrumental in making your strides easier to make. These tips can help you maintain a close relationship with fellow bloggers.

1. Comment on their blogs: Commenting on your fellow bloggers blog is one of the most effective ways to start a relationship. Like in formal settings, commenting on other blogs shows that you value what the other bloggers are sharing. This can be quite pleasing to the blog owners. However, doing it just once doesn’t make you recognizable. However, if you continually make visits, you’ll be able to put yourself and your blog on their radar. Your blog can gain from this.

2. Promote other blogger’s works. According to experts, many successful bloggers out there’ve made a name for themselves by promoting other people’s blogs. One of them could be you. One classic success story in this case is a blog like Kikolani. Promoting other blogs can give you the opportunity to get the attention of mid-sized bloggers who can promote your act to even bigger audiences.

3. Twitter. Twitter has been around for a while now and in as much as most people failed to love it at the start, it does play a fantastic relationship-building role with bloggers. From seeking out relevant bloggers in your niche through relevant hash tags, to attending blogger events and podcasts or webinars, Twitter can help you build a relationship with fellow bloggers. Moreover, you can use Twitter to promote other blogger’s works. This can put you on their radar.

4. Facebook. While Facebook is not the place to step up your outreach to established bloggers in your niche, it helps to know what they’re up to on any given occasion. You can learn something about their personalities and this can be interesting much later, when you want to establish a closer, mutual relationship.

5. Use email. Do you know that most people ignore the power of a personalized email in a world where Facebook and Twitter mean everything to the thriving blogosphere. In reality however, writing an attention grabbing, personalized email to a blogger can create all the relationship magic you can imagine, unless he or she received millions of such emails. In fact, most bloggers are inclined to respond to an email compared to spam content.

6. Ask for a guest Blog from them. The other way to get the attention of established bloggers is by offering them a guest opportunity on your blog, assuming, they too would love to associate with you. Even if you don’t believe it, asking other bloggers to write on your blog, will be a greater way to make people read your blog from their circles and as such, best to ensure you keep them open to contribution on your blog. Moreover, with guest blogging, you can be able to extend a relationship that goes beyond a few articles, may be even establish a relationship business wise.

7. Buy their products. Different bloggers sell different things on their websites. According to experts, the only effective way to get on the radar of established, A-league bloggers is by buying their products and promoting it. Anyways, who wouldn’t be happy someone else is benefiting from their product or making others buy their product? Logically, no one can fail to appreciate your efforts unless they’re down right selfish.

8. Run or interview them. Out of all the most effective ways to get the attention of bloggers, this is one of the more effective ways to get their attention. Truth is that, bloggers love to be interviewed. The role of such interviews not only helps you as a blogging beginner know about your favorite bloggers, but offers an opportunity for them to spread their likes such as brands they’re creating, promote blogs and generally reach more users, some of yours included.

Overall, creating any relationship isn’t hard work; keeping one is the big issue. Whilst none of the above methods works in black and white with every established blogger, you may have to study different bloggers and see which style works with them as far as establishing a relationship is concerned. However, invest in creating relationships with bloggers, by any means.
